D’Valerio is a fifth-generation glass artist whose practice reflects a family legacy spanning six generations of glassmaking. Immersed in the craft from an early age, he developed a deep appreciation for the artistic and technical possibilities of glass. He studied at the Art Institute of Bucharest, where he refined his technical foundation, while working closely with his father, a lifelong glass artist specializing in blown glass, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and insight into the medium. Over the past four decades, D’Valerio has continued to refine his craft, develop specialized techniques, and expand the possibilities of glassmaking. His work focuses primarily on kiln-formed and cast glass, encompassing sculptural artworks, custom objects, and architectural installations that balance artistic expression with functional purpose.
